Tornado In A Bottle

To make a tornado in a bottle you will need:
two 2-liter bottles, their cups and water.

Remove the labels from the bottles.
***For this part adult supervision is required.***
Make a small holes in the cups of the bottles, and use a glue gun to glue them together, back to back, so they will become air tight.
Pour two thirds of water into one of the bottles,
and connect them with the double cup you made.
Flip over so the bottle with water is on the top, and swirl the bottles holding by the top bottle.
You will see a tornado funnel in a top bottle.
The air from the bottom bottle pushes up, while the water swirls around and pours down.
For a visual effect you can add some sparkles into the water.
Have fun observing the tornado effect.

You can experiment, by adding different things to water, or maybe adding food colouring or colour lamp oil.  You can also see what happens when you change the size of the hole in the cups.
Enjoy.

Squishy Egg

How to make a squishy egg.
You will need one egg, white vinegar and a glass.
Place the egg in the glass and pour vinegar so the egg is completely immersed.
Acetic acid in vinegar reacts with calcium carbonate in eggshell and produces carbon dioxide that you can see as bubbles.  The process dissolves the eggshell, but not a membrane.
The next day remove the egg from the glass and rinse the remaining shell.
You will be able to see yolk through the membrane.
You can play with it, just make sure you do it over the sink since it is very easy to pop the membrane.
Poke it.
Squish it.
Whoooooops.... break it.  Now you can see the membrane, and yolk surrounded by egg white.
Have fun playing and exploring.

Add Borax and water mixture,

Stir till it becomes thicker,

Here is the slime. You can dispose of extra liquid.

Have fun playing with your slime.

Store it in a plastic bag and keep it away from sunny places so it will not dry out.
Caution: if your slime is too sticky, just add a bit more water and borax mixture, then dispose of extra liquid.
The slime should not stick to your fingers.
